Too many people...and stuff?

Udaipur is full of really interesting people...I probably take too many photos of these people, especially the old men...but the old men are soooo cool.  They have a world of work on their faces...women rarely grizzle!  Here's some more from today...then I'll show you some other stuff...
First we have the banjo player from the Bollywood remake of Deliverance...
...then we have grumpy man #1 and #2, and scary man #.3762965...

..and scary man #1...
...then it's startled man #1,754,379, laughing man #67, and chilly man #3.5...

...and finally, I want you to pay me man #-2 1/3...
So now I can get on to other stuff...like a photo of a desolate street here in Udaipur...
...and if you go down to the lake at sunset, you'll see the local washer women enjoying martini's after work at the beach!
This is what they are looking at...

If you look carefully, you can see the pigeons shitting all over everything...they even hit me a couple times today.......................HEY..........THAT'S NOT FUNNY!

I luuuuuuuv India!

Udaipur...ya, I know it sounds bad, but it's a great place!  We got in yesterday afternoon, after flying out of Bombay...we found out the locals still call it Bombay, the rest of the world calls it Mumbai.  The Bombay airport is pretty cool...they don't let mere mortals take photos in there for security reasons, but TLD is a celebrity, dontcha know!

Very impressive building...not so impressive was our dinner in Mumbai at Mamagoto...Mama to go should have gone.  Actually, the first 2 courses were good, then the waiter changed into his Depends and shit his pants.  Prawns in tasteless crap over shitty rice...sound appealing?  Well, two out of three ain't bad, how 'bout dessert.  Sponge cake with home made caramel sauce, and fried banana in same caramel sauce.  10 minutes into the wait a busboy came racing over in very excited India/English saying "hawrrfszd[hoawvnlkzxl,qwr[snxk;jas[0q3[u"!  Well, ok...whatever, don't have an f'n heart attack.  Here comes the dessert sans caramel sauce...sorry, we ran out.  WTF, the bill says full pop!
Anyway, we got into Udaipur around 4, and in the AirBnB by 5...wow, really great place!  Roomy, we have our own little patio overlooking the city...
The owners are wonderful, and recommended a place for dinner with a view of the lake...
That's a view of a swanky hotel across the lake from our rooftop diningroom!  Ha, dontcha wish you were us?!!!!!!  Anyway, we got up this morning and had tea on our patio...I looked across the lane to see this old lady with her head caught in the railing...
...she looked kinda pissed, so I didn't think I should bother her any further.  We decided to go for a little walk, and right outside our gate was this beautiful lady...
...and we went down to the lake and saw a bunch of this stuff...

...and this beautiful leaf sewer...no, not a sewer...she sews leaves into cups bozo!
This guy wanted money...so I offered 20 rupees...he said 50...you know where this is goin' dontcha!
I told him for 50 I wanted him screwing a goat...well THAT was a mistake!  He ran off to get the goat and we escaped!  Then we met this guy...90 years old...
...and another great looking lady...
What a great place...Cassandra is off at a yoga berra symposium in our courtyard...maybe I should have a cocktail...now there is a GREAT idea!

Tomorrow...Euuu-diapers!

OK, so it's really spelled Udaipur..........what?...you expect me to go a whole day without insulting someone?  I out-ass-holed a guy today...I took a nice photo of him, went up to show him (good looking young guy) and he said he wanted 100 rupees (he's the first one to ask for money), so I said I've got a better idea and deleted his photo right in front of him!  Take THAT you little shithead!  So, onto bigger and better stuff.  Now as much as I love Cassandra, shopping is not something I enjoy doing with her...until India!  We went to the market, and on the way we met Uncle Mustafa...he said take my picture, an offer I couldn't refuse!
He liked the photo, so we didn't have to worry about ANYTHING for the rest of the day...well, sort of.  Off to the market...oops, a little beggar lady, can't pass that up...
I did mention we were going to the market, right?  So we finally GOT to the market, and met this great old guy...
..
He walked right up to me and said hello...I asked if I could take his photo, and he nodded his acceptance.  He had a great smile, and Cassandra got a shot of the two of us as I was showing him the photos...
What a great guy!  So we started to explore the market, and came across some men doing something...who cares what, they were in really nice light!
I thought that was good, but then he moved into even better light...
Then there was this guy smoking...
...and a veggie stand...
...they were renovating one part of the market...
...and eventually it will look just like this...
Oh what the hell do you know about it...it could happen.  This is what the average street looks like in Mumbai...wanna move here?

Mumbai...day 1

Amigos, we have arrived in India!  As Casstonto points out, NOTHING can prepare you for it!  There was the first jolt of insanity when we took the cab from the airport...inches away from cars and motorcycles with no lights, no lanes, no apparent speed limits, and nothing the cab driver won't attempt!  I loved it!  Casstonto hasn't stopped screaming...and it's the next day!  One thing about India that's different from Japan...architecture...here are just a couple of buildings...
...and the people are pretty interesting too...
...and this guy had an upside down bicycle with a grinding stone attached, and was sharpening knives with it!
...and this guy was my favourite!
While we were wandering around, I decided it was time for a shave and a haircut...so here I am...
This guy was great, I tell ya...
...then a cow dropped by...
...and I got a little excited when he was doing this...
...then came the shave...
So we wandered around a little more, then collapsed in our hotel...too many close shaves.............piss off, I'm not feeling funny, ok?
