First day in La Paz and we meet Paul!

Paul is from Toronto...really nice guy, but a Lone DeRanger groupie!  When we first met Paul, he was dressed like his idol...
...I'm sure you all agree, who can blame him!  It was kinda sad, but good ol' Lone asked him to go out of costume...as you can see a striking resemblance.  He reluctantly disrobed, much to Casstonto's excitement!  Here is a saddened Paul...
...Turns out, Paul keeps a small boat down here...
...the upper deck is his personal disco...see the speakers up there...
...Paul is almost as good at dancing as Wild Gary...but nobody can compete with him!  Anyway, we went snorkeling with whale sharks today!  F'n mind blowing...these even would have blown Gene's mind...although I think he told me he signed a couple of these guys to pro contracts.  Casstonto had the underwater camera, but the water was kinda murky, so only these two look ok...
...oh crap...sorry, that second one is me in my spotted shorts...oh well, it's all about the truth!  So after a hard day puking in the ocean...ya amigos, Ol' Lone gets a touch sea sick...but getting in the water with these suckers and doing a few laps tuckered me out!  When we got onto dry land, we HAD to get some fish tacos...yum!

...then we went for a walk alone the malicon...

...got a pic of the hotel we aren't staying in...
...and the local divorce attorney...think I saw Casstonto duck in there....hmmmmmm...
...and finally, the sun went down...take THAT Megan!
Lastly, I want to give a shot...er, shout out to that rotten bitch Babe , who got a hole in one today, on a 171 yd. par 3...did I mention I hate YOU!!!! LOLOLOLOL  Well, that's about it from La Paz...we may start heading north tomorrow...maybe.

Last day in Moo-le-hay...

We've had a wonderful, lazy time in Mulege.  The hotel was first built almost 250 years ago...it has the big center courtyard, it's quiet, the owner is real nice...the sun streams in in the afternoon, and the beds aren't too bad!  Tomorrow we move on to somewhere south...depends on how ambitious we feel! Today we did a little looking around...walked up to the Mission, built in 1706...
...not fancy, but they had a good, roomy place in the back to molest the ninos (it was locked, so we couldn't see in)...but here is the main room...
...it was up on the hill overlooking the river...
...in the garden we saw a bunch of butterflies...
...and on the way back to the hotel, peeling paint!  Doesn't get much better than peeling paint!
...next, we drove out to the ocean for lunch.  Great little place right on the beach for fish tacos!
...there's that little vixen Casstonto, naked again...and the Rav4 through the window.
Who knows what kind of crazy crap we'll see tomorrow.  If we don't have internet, hold your breath!

NAKED CASSTONTO!

You bunch of perverts!  The hits just went through the roof!  It's not what you think...here she is without her head dress...you degenerates!
...she was doing a drawing of the front entrance of Hotel Hacienda this morning, and went out without her feathers...little wicked minx!!!  \Anyway, I've been having some computer problems since Palm Desert many weeks back, and there happens to be a computer repair place right across the street.  I took it in and they fixed me right up...I tell ya, it's faster than food poisoning now!  While they were doing that, we went to the local jail for a tour.  Turns out they shut it in 1970, but it was kind of interesting.
...it overlooks the town of Moo-le-hay...ya, we covered that yesterday...don't get me started again.  There are no doors on the cells...
...prisoners were free to roam, but they had to earn beds, and bedding...only one way out...
...I don't know what the food situation was, but something tells me these came in handy...
...I don't know how the guards got up into the towers, but it wasn't by elevator.
...there is an inner and outer compound...high security people like Tom, Megan, and Ted would have been on the "inside"!
...our guide told us that they had a torture room where they used water torture.  They built the prison the same year as the graveyard...1906.  The graveyard is a mix of high, and lower class monuments...and a lot of infant mortality.  The first monument I saw was this one...
...and to the right of the main gates was a large vault...inside was this...
...on top was this...
...this was an older vault...
...and this was a heart-breaking little grave...maybe 2' long...
...one last shot before leaving...
...and of course, we found a bar!

Mulege...Moo-le-hay...

Yes...we are in a place called Mulege...a little oasis of a town, built on a river.  I think it calls into suspect the educational system of Mexico.  Either they can't spell, or they can't pronounce the name correctly.  If they want to spell it that way, then pronounce it properly...Mew-leggie!  They seem hell bent on pronouncing it Moo-le-hay...THEN SPELL IT THAT WAY!!!  And another thing...Baja...they pronounce it Baha, when it should be Bay-Jay...and don't get me going on what they do with Jesus!!!  Did the Greeks get to Mexico first?...Hey Zeus! go figure.

Anyway, we started in Bahia de los Angeles this morning with an unremarkable sunrise...
...the temp got up there pretty fast as we went into the interior of Bay-Jay...
...we got into Moo-le-hay about 3pm and checked into the Hacienda Hotel...see if you can guess which guest is Casstonto...
...ok, here's a close-up...
...see...now here's my point.  Take the name Casstonto...you don't spell it KhasThondough...and you pronounce it the way it's spelled!  Here's one of the guys that lives in this place...
I can't figure this one out...does this mean the fire dept. loves bombs?
...this is the street view of our room...
...and the moon and some palm trees...
...and a funny colored hill on the outside of town...
...we're going to stay here a couple days...any requests?
