On our way to Paris!

We left Rovinj at the gawd awful time of 6:30 am, got in a van for the 2 hour drive to the Trieste airport...once there, a 4 hour wait for our flight! From Trieste, to Milan only took 40 minutes, and another 4 hour wait before our flight to Paris. So yesterday, the last day of Dora's painting odyssey, we went out to an island overlooking Rovinj...

...this island is the home of a very fancy resort, and we had a picnic here...

...to be clear, it wasn't on that spot we had the picnic, it was in a nice shady spot, but Dora decided the ice was unfrozen enough to go swimming!!!

...she's one crazy lady! We got never before views of Rovinj...

...and just to porve that I took too much LSD in the 60's, guess what this is?

Pula...just about 45 mnutes from Rovinj....

Apparently, this is about 3/4 the size of the Colesseum in Rome...wow!

Tomorrow is our last day in Rovinj...it's been great here!

Rovinj...Venice.......Rovinj.............Venice..................where am I?

While Rovinj is a beautiful city, it seems to take on Venice-like photographic qualities...they all look the same! Rovinj is a relatively small place, and it hasn't taken too long not to get lost...well, for the most part. The key to Rovinj is that if you are walking uphill, you are going to the church, if you are walking downhill, you are going to the ocean...I can handle that! Uphill...
