Cassablanca...day 2
We arrived yesterday, but late, so technically, this is our second day here. First impression of Casablanca...meh. With a population of 3.5 million, it's a big city...but the buildings look like 1950's/1960's low cost housing that hasn't been maintained.I guess I expected something older, more nostagic...nope. Ya, ya...I know it's not like Humphrey Bogart is around the corner, but Casablanca is like a 3rd world version of Cleveland. I've only taken 2 photos here, that's how dismal this place is...first, the sunset on our first day, through the dirty window......more on the hotel later. This is just the kind of grumpy old lady you see pretty much everywhere...women aren't respected here. You have to be careful photographing people here, especially women...they don't like it! Anyway, back to the hotel...we checked in, went up to our room, washed our hands, but the drain plug in the sink was broken. They said they would fix it, but put us in the same room, one floor up! There was a big hole in the wall above the drapes, so they gave us another room, 3 floors down...that was even worse. We asked that they give us back the first room, but fix the sink...they did, but we have to drain the sink from UNDER the sink! At this point it was time for food, so we asked the front desk to recommend something around the hotel...they said the Ibis Hotel next door. We went to the sports bar...we surmised that they order in the food...it showed up an hour later, cold and stale! (chicken club sandwich, and a cheeseburger) So, how do I like Casablanca so far?

Day 4 in Paris....hahaha...skipped a day!!!
Cassandra was sick yesterday, so we didn't go out...don't worry, she's still alive, but she did try to kill me today. When I guessed that we walked 40-50 miles the first day...that was nuthin' compared to today. It was actually very nice here today...sunny and warm......and at first I thought I was back on cocaine when I saw this, but photos don't lie! Did I mention they like young, nubial young girls here...wait, is Trump French? So they have churches here, just like Italy, but not every second house like Italy. We went in one, and they had a sculpture of Jesus learning how to do the "Frug"...remember the Frug? I'd never seen Jesus get down like that, but hey, good on ya!!! The rest of the church looked like this...sort of... This was outside if you've had too much wine like me... Oh, and you know how proud the French are about their organs, right? Then we went shopping for a knife...Cassandra wants to kill me in my sleep, but not until we are in the Atlas Mountains where nobody will miss me...so we went to a knife store......this was the one she picked out for me! Just outside the knife store was the badass lightpole of the century... When you get drunk enough, you keep track of things like that...you never know when you'll need a friend! Anyway, the French seem really good at trimming hedges...didn't they do a great job of making that a wave pattern... Hmmmmm, maybe I had too much to drink on our walk of 60-70 f'in miles! Never mind, I'm ALRIGHT!!!
BEAR! ...or maybe this was the bear...WHATEVER!!! And there was this big Phallic thing... I don't know, the French seem preoccupied with "erections"...they even put directions on how they got it up... I guess that's why they are so concerned about the tower leaning over... On our way home we saw these... ...and stopped in and bought some ok pasteries here...

Day 2 in Paris
Today was cut a little short...Cassandra is feeling a little under the f-ing cold weather. We did a little walk around, and for the first time it wasn't me who said "WHOA"! She's on the couch under a huge duvet, still alive, still playing on her phone, but put a real cramp in my touring Paris while drunk...CRAP!!! We did get a bottle of wine...the white kind that my buddy Mike the trainsvestite likes, so I think I will pour a glass while I write this! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! That's better...it's not good to let the alchol levels get too low...especially in Paris! So this first one is pretty common in Paris...seems every street looks this good! We started our walk before noon, and although we are in a very diplomatic area (the National Assembly is a half a block away) and our street is crawling with cops! None of them are ICE, and nobody seems to be shooting anyone...but it's early! Anyway, our street leads to the Military Museum, which seems to have been turned into a hospital or something... If you look closely in that last shot, you can see an old soldier smoking a stogie... It wouldn't be a trip to Paris without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.........did you know it was poop brown? Like I said, it was a short day. Because it's Sunday, almost everything is closed...HAHAHAHA, but I scored the wine from a corner store. We spotted this when we (I) was looking for booze...it led to a busy coffee shop... OK, OK...I know that's not much, but that white demon is calling me!!! bye!
