Last day in SoCal...

I was just going to hang out at the hotel today, but Casstonto talked me into going out to the ocean.  We drove north along Hwy. 101 through surf town after surf town...got hungry and stopped at...

...for tacos and enchiladas...

...personally, I think they should change the name to Los Olas Burp and Fart Emporium.  After lunch, a stroll on the beach...

As we drove up the coast, Casstonto said "Hey...what is Knuckleheads?"  Turns out it's where The Lone DeRanger get's his hair cut!

...he was a whiz at cutting around the mask!  Knuckleheads was a very military place to get a haircut...most people now salute me as we pass.  Here is the full studio...

When we got back to the hotel, the sunset was very uninspiring...but the military came through out of respect to the new Military Lone DeRanger...

I know...weather sucks here too!

It poured rain most of yesterday, mainly while we were driving up to LA to find Casstonto a wetsuit. Most of you have never seen her in a suit, much less a wet one...but it's what she wanted, so who am I to question her.  Actually, those were her words exactly...hmmmmm.  So 2 hours to LA in the pouring rain...f'n lovely.  We got there and I found out she wanted a diving wetsuit...OOOHHHHHHHH!...I get it!  Next door to the first dive shop that didn't have what she wanted, was Johnnie's deli...yum...

Casstonto got this flattering shot of me stuffing my face...the waitress thought I was there to rob it!  On our was back to Escondido, Casstonto got this shot from the moving car!  Wow, pretty damned good huh?

...and when we got back, there was a little sunset...not like the night before...

 That's when I passed out.  This morning it was colder than a well digger's knee...look at the vapour coming off the pond...

 That's how the cool people live.  Time for a cocktail!

Welcome to the Lawrence Welk Resort in beautiful (sort of) Escondido!  Here we are in Volare 328!

This time we are in a 2 bdrm villa...and Mike and Jane don't want to come down!  Who are Mike and Jane you ask...they are dumbass pilots for Jazz who can fly for (virtually) FREE!!!...and stay here for FREE!!!!  Now you understand the "dumbass" classification!  Here is what we saw driving down from Palm Desert...ya, that's the road...

 ...when we got to Escondido, we drove into San Diego because we could...and Casstonto is a slave driver.  We went to a hotel called  Hotel del Coronado...big old wooden hotel that we didn't stay in...

...you've probably seen it in some movies...anyway, saw some stuff...

...oh ya, I remember that one...that was last night...almost a full moon!  Those are ghetto homes up near the moon...then tonight, this sunset...

Where do you go when you start off stupid....

Some of you may be suspecting this, but Lone has lost a step or two.  When we left the Marriott this morning...cummon...sing it..."We're off to Escondito"...we checked all the drawers, closets, couch cushions, mine shafts, orbiting satellites, and the refrigerator.  You know what's coming don't you...admit it, you're stupid like me.  Casstonto just shakes her head with that "why me" shake.  I checked my condoms, but forgot the safe.  Our passports and money were in the safe...sigh.  It's only a two hour drive to Escondito, that's why not many people are off to there...I but I turned a two hour drive into a 7 hour drive...ya...RUSH HOUR IN LA!!!  Toni and Jim still have the CIA mind hex on us...while driving back, there was an amazing sunset that I couldn't photograph because I was screaming down Hwy 60 at 80mph!  Casstonto said she got it, but won't share to punish me.  After 7 hours in the car, we went to Vons...a supermarket chain down here, and got what Casstonto described as a beautiful rib eye steak...turned out to be a piece of the freeway between LA and San Diego that had been airbrushed.
So, another day without pictures...but f*^# you and the horse you rode in on...it's been a s&^#%* f*&^%$# day on the highways of SoCal...get over it!  Oh, and another thing, it's 80F here...how is where you are?   Ted and Dianne, and Jersy Jackie don't answer.

So, tomorrow we're off to Escondito.  I was going to do something funny from the Wizard of Oz, but I may be too intoxicated.  Here's what ya do, sing We're off to see the Wizard...but say "We're off to Escondito"...hahahahahahahahahaha....man, I crack myself up!


Casstonto says we will do something other than play golf...I don't believe her!
