The day before it ends...

I have been told, in no uncertain terms, that dinner at Linda and Tom's is off the record.  Well ya know that ain't gunna happen!  I love Linda and Tom...they are the parents of Fartman...that's almost as good as being the parents of Lone!  As I sip my anejo tequila, safe in my hotel room in Burntwood Oregon, or somewhere...I realize Linda and Tom don't really know me.  Megan say's Tom wears a mask occasionally...but I'm not sure that counts, because that's all he's wearing at the time...oh, and she tells me it's a Goofy (the Disney character) mask!  I'd like to get shots of that!  I wonder what he will wear for dinner tomorrow?  Anyway, the drunker I get, the more eloquent I write...f*&#$%? eh bubba!!!  Did you know that 1800 anejo tequila...not that repesado crap...is good for your health?  No?...well, you aren't Lone.  I think my ex-wife would tell you I have a long history with tequila...yes, I did puke on her head...but only ONCE!!!  And Ted and Dianne may have some input on that front...but who would believe them, they have their own dubious history with tequila! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA  I saw things you wouldn't believe...hell, I still am...most of them are REAL as far as I can tell.

So, I would love to show you Tom in his Goofy mask, or even Ted puking white on his buddy's driveway...but this is all I have...
So, tomorrow at Linda and Tom's....are there a bunch of enquiring minds out there?

Only 4 more days...

Yep...it's almost over.  We got to San Diego yesterday...drove up from a scuzzy little town called Lazaro Cardenas...wasn't as nice as scuzzy.  Anyway, we played golf today...ya...golf.  So what, I'll bet most of you want to be somewhere warm enough to play golf...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...don't you all want to be the Lone DeRanger when you grow up?  Here's the golf course shot...
...and here are the shots I got as the sun went down...
...I know most of you have already stopped reading, I'm VERY sensitive ya know.  So what...ok, so we drive a lot, and end up with Linda and Tom...maybe Megan and Matt (fartman)...probably home on Monday.  So, for those of you not reading...go f*#& yourself!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...that's what makes me the Lone DeRanger!!!

We gotchur whales for ya!

We got up in Guerrero Negro this morning, and went and saw some whales...lots and lots of whales!
...not an inspiring sunrise, but not bad considering I was overlooking a garbage dump.  We had to drive through a salt farm...I don't know what to call the thing...it was cool though...
...it looked like snow...EVERYWHERE!!!  We got to the calving lagoon, and went out in small boats...
...fairly small group, 8 of us.  There were about 450-500 adults, and about 250 calves...f'n whales everywhere!!!
Unfortunately, I got stuck on the wrong side of the boat...Casstonto got all the good shots!  I SUCK!!!

Grey whales tomorrow!

We are in a place called Guerrero Negro...I didn't think they had black gorillas here, at least not this close to the ocean.  Anyway, tomorrow we are going to see some grey whales...can't swim with them...can't even have a drink with 'em...oh well, have to drink without them then!  Tecate...oh now I know what they mean...Tecate is the fave drink of black gorillas!  We stayed in Moola-hay for a couple days after La Paz...just to wind down.  There was an Italian woman, her son and a dwarf staying at the hotel...in an old van with BC plates, but enough of them.  Driving up from La Paz is exactly what I expected from Baja...long straight roads with desert on both sides...
...and throw in a few mountains...
...then you come out of the mountains and down onto the beach...
...the Rav4 is doing great...except for that big rock I hit on the way down to La Paz that tore a hole in the sidewall...had to replace the tire...but enough about that.  We had a seagull painted on the rear fender...
...so we got back to Moola-hay, and went back to El Patron for fish tacos...
...here is a close-up of the ceiling...
...and this is where I have a new segment in the blog..."WEIRD GUY OF THE DAY"!  I don't even know where to begin...
...so we left Moola-hay after watching the Seahawks kick the snot out of the 49er's...hey, remember Gene...he was cheering for the 49er's!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!  Wait...isn't that Gene in the photo above?  Anyway, we got to Guerrero Negro in time for sunset...
 ...and a fly-by by someone...
...tomorrow, more WHALES!
