The Sahara
It was a long day in the van today...but it was really nice for our last day in Fes. We drove out into the Sahara, and guess what?...sun, heat, desert kind of stuff?...nope, a little rain, cold, and a rather impressive dust storm! The wind was so strong, I have internal organs that are coated in dust! Here's what it looked like from inside the van... Out the side window.....Just to keep it in the mix...RAIN! So we have been on the road for 8 days, rain and snow 7 of them! Who ever said "Go to Morocco for the snow, and the rain"...NOBODY EVER SAID THAT!!! I know...bitch, bitch, bitch. Anyway, we spend long horus in the van, and I only have 4 brain cells devoted to where we are, and what day it is! I think...This is our fancy hotel from 2 days ago. Sunset over the Sahara......and the moon......the we stopped in some little town right up against the snowy mountains...Here are a bunch of pics...don't ask me where, or when... That doesn't even include the stuff from today...another 6 hour ride in the van, but I will do that tomorrow...time for WINE!!!

Did you bring enough long underwear and puffy coats?
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting Doug. Looks like you've had your share of weather issues lately. I hope things get better! At least you secured some good pictues.👍
ReplyDeleteOnly a couple more hours in that van and you could have been at place in Maple Ridge for some racing.
