Sahara 2

I was really looking forward to this part of the trip...camel ride out to a secluded, romantic oasis in the Sahara...snuggled into a luxury tent with my sweetheart...aaahhhhhh, this is what traveling should be! Hmmm, well not exactly. Camel ride cancelled because of high wind! Luxury tent in a secluded oasis...well, not exactly...More like a small tent city in the middle of the desert...but they had bathrooms...sort of. We walked out to one of the sand dunes...

Secluded tents...sort of, in a tent city style...

I got up early for the sunrise...

Then it was Cassandra on a camel first thing in the morning...

No camels for me, I already smell bad enough! Back in the van for a couple of hours, to some little town that still had rements of the original town after 300 years...

After that it was into a canyon with 400' walls, and only 100-150' wide...

Finally, on to our hotel..

Nice place, but these women were hiding next to the driveway...

It's the morning of the next day, and the group is off on a 10km walk...I stayed behind to do this, and get a massage, and a bottle of wine...and maybe a nap....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
