Italy is very much like China........

..............EVERYONE IS DEAF!!! Either that or everyone wants to share whatever they are talking about! Here we are on our third day...we are still orbiting Jupiter, but carrying on anyway! Today we decided to go to lake. My good buddy Ernie Mossetti (very experienced Italy traveller, has lost all credibilty) told us it would be hot. If by hot he meant cold, then he was right on! It has been cool and rainy, occasionally sunny and almost warm. So we went to a lake, and it had a fort there for dwarfs...cool!

It overlooked the lake...the lake seemed fll sized...

The town had the usual narrow streets, and some flowers...

Then we were off to have lunch at the other end of the lake...did you know they built churches on islands to make it harder to get to!

Here is the town we went to, but I'm too tired to remember the name...

Day 2 in Soriano

It's easy to adjust to the time changes...you just wander around like a character in the Walking Dead! Then you have in depth conversations at 2am just to make sure you are a zombie the next day! SUCCESS!!! Well, it poured rain off and on the second day, and Dora the Explorer (Cassandra for those who don't know) had one of those little hat umbrellas that only kept her dry...sigh. We went to a place we were eager to see, Orte...a town built on a big rock about 50 feet high! It was pouring rain when we got ther, so we drove up into the town without gettting a shot of what it REALLY looks like up on top of the rock...sorry. Once in town, it was a little like an uninspred Soriano. Back to Soriano...

WE ARE IN ITALY!!!

Holy crap, a 9 hour flight from Toronto and we are in Italy...with about 2 hours sleep on the plane! We landed in Rome, rented a car, and drove north to Seriano! There is not a flat piece of earth in any of Soriano! This little place is magical, in a very vertically challenging way! This is the view from our window...

Some of the little streets are just crazy beautiful...
