...it overlooks the town of Moo-le-hay...ya, we covered that yesterday...don't get me started again. There are no doors on the cells...
...prisoners were free to roam, but they had to earn beds, and bedding...only one way out...
...I don't know what the food situation was, but something tells me these came in handy...
...I don't know how the guards got up into the towers, but it wasn't by elevator.
...there is an inner and outer compound...high security people like Tom, Megan, and Ted would have been on the "inside"!
...our guide told us that they had a torture room where they used water torture. They built the prison the same year as the graveyard...1906. The graveyard is a mix of high, and lower class monuments...and a lot of infant mortality. The first monument I saw was this one...
...and to the right of the main gates was a large vault...inside was this...
...on top was this...
...this was an older vault...
...and this was a heart-breaking little grave...maybe 2' long...
...one last shot before leaving...
...and of course, we found a bar!
WTF? Lone showing his gentle side. WTF? Now don't go all sucky on us now that you are in ME-I-CO now. Was it a New Year resolution or is it to get us to let down our guards? The saga continues.........
